    Four ways to train

Every program starts with a free class.

    The system Eddie Bravo built

10th Planet is jiu jitsu built for grappling without the gi: no grabbing cloth, just positions and submissions that work in shorts and a rash guard.

This school keeps its curriculum in sync with 10th Planet HQ in Los Angeles, and takes the system to competitions and seminars well beyond Long Island.

    Before your first class

I've never trained. Can I still come?

Yes. Start with a Fundamentals or 101 class; they're built for people who have never stepped on a mat. Classes marked Good first class are the easiest place to begin.

    What should I wear?

For no-gi and striking: athletic shorts without zippers or pockets, and a t-shirt or rash guard. Gi classes need a gi, so if you don't own one yet, start with a no-gi class.

How old do kids need to be?

Bullyproof kids classes are for ages 5 to 13. They run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:00 PM.

What happens after the free class?

The trial is free with no contract. After class, a coach can walk you through membership options if you want to keep training.

Gi or no-gi: which should I pick?

10th Planet is known for no-gi, and most of the week is no-gi. If you want to try the kimono, Gi Fundamentals runs Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 AM.

    See you on the mat.

Pick a class, show up in shorts and a t-shirt, and a coach will take it from there.
